I grow half an acre of Rhubarb here on Malcolm Island. I use only organic fertilizers and no pesticides.
Rhubarb is seasonally available between May and June each year and I also have frozen rhubarb, available year round. In addition to rhubarb, I grow other vegetables and produce such as: Farm fresh Eggs, Kale, Chard, Radishes, Lettuce, various Squash, Tomatoes, Green Onions, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Spinach, Arugula, etc…
I also harvest wild berries and produce wildberry jams and jellies, currently available in 12 varieties depending upon what I have in stock: Salal, Himalayan Blackberry, Thimbleberry, Red and Blue Huckleberry, Bog Cranberry, Rhubarb, Spiced Apple, Heritage Raspberry, Loganberry, Salmon berry and Orchard Plum.
Most of our products are available through our roadside jamstand on the corner of 19th Ave and 2nd St in downtown Sointula, or available through order by phone.
We are also a private campsite and event venue and provide ecological/historical tours of our farm.
